FAQ's About the Shop

Q. Do you have anything gluten free?

gluten free products should always be made in a gluten free kitchen, inspected by the city to ensure the safety of those in need. since we bake on premises we cannot offer anything gluten free. please research some of the awesome places in the city who specialize in gluten free products

Q. When will you have a certain item available?

We shop locally for most of our ingredients so our menu is never set. if strawberries are fresh that day, we will have strawberry scones. beautiful ripe blueberries, then a fresh blueberry coffee cake will be made. remember, everyday is different at donna bell's!

Q. How long do I need to make a special order?

Please always allow 48 hours for any special order. this includes cakes, bar platters, and larger pastry orders. all phone orders must be over $50.

Q. Do you offer seating inside?

we are a bake-shop and like almost all bakeries we are a take-out only establishment.  we do have two small window seats for a short-term rest and there is a beautiful outdoor patio near the shop at world-wide plaza.

Q. When do you close?

We try to stay open until 9pm monday-saturday. We are always closed on sundays. it is recommended to come earlier in the day for best selection. we bake everything fresh daily and can occasionally sell-out in the early evening. There are no discounts and any leftovers from the day are donated to local churches/food banks.

Q. Do you have a menu?

since everyday is different at donna bell's, we technically do not have a set menu. matthew, owner and head pastry chef, has created and developed over 100 different recipes that are made on rotation, depending on season and ingredient availability. we do have items that can generally be found at the shop everyday. our morning pastries such as biscuits, scones and muffins are made fresh every morning and are always available until sold out. matthew is known to experiment with new and exciting recipes (with donna bell as our inspiration) and we have fun getting feedback from the shop's regular patrons. to our first timers and out of town guests, please be aware that we might not have specific bakes goods that were posted on facebook months prior. if anything, call that morning to find out what will be available that day.

Q. Do you deliver?

At the moment we do not deliver but are making plans to have a limited area delivery service for large orders.

Q. Do you ship?

No we do not ship and have no plans at the moment of doing so. Our shop is very small, shipping fees are expensive so it is not cost efficient for us or the customer.

Q. When will Pauley be there?

Pauley stops by the shop a few times a year when she visits nYC. We never announce prior to her visit. she lives and works in los angeles.
